Open PDF 1:1 (actual Size) - 322.3

Post by shof@gwh.de »

Hi, after updating from a previous version, PDF-XChange Editor opens all pdf 'fit width' (Ctrl + 2).
How can we change it to 1:1 for every file?
Thanks in advance

I have a similar problem as the OP. Running 322.3. My settings under Preferences/Page display:
  • "Restore the last view..." - UNchecked
"Default Page Zoom" - Fit page
"Respect Document Settings" -UNchecked for both "Default Page Layout" and "Default Page Zoom"
The display zoom factor will be the one when the document was last closed.

Hello claude vidal,

I am not seeing this issue. Could you please post a file that also shows this issue?

Thank you!

Hi Patrick,

See attached file. I've tried dozens of PDFs with the same result. I believe it has more to do with my installation, but I'll wait for your guidance.

Hello Claude Vidal,

I just tested with your file, and with these settings:
settings.png
I always get the file to open at 100% zoom - irrespective of how it was before when I closed it.

Regards,
Stefan

Stefan,

I can't explain it, but today, all is back in order. It would be nice to know what temporary glitch popped up, but it now works and that's the goal.

Sorry & thanks.

Hi Claude,

I think the default presets were changed such that a file now opens to fit width instead of 100% unless it was previously specified. Some users will not have seen this if they had previously set a default zoom to open PDF's before updating.

I would suggest to anyone seeing this issue that they try specifying these settings under Edit> Preferences> Page display and see if that helps.

Thank you!
