PDF file load error

Post by BarryH »

Hi John

Just downloaded this file from the Quantum web site. It'll load in AR8 but not in the 22 Jan build of PDF-Viewer.

One for you to investigate!

Hi Barry,

The file is actually damaged - if you open in Acrobat 8 Proffessional rather than just the Reader it advises you this and then attempts to correct - sometimes it actually crashes Acrobat (but then many files seem to do this with Acrobat 8 :( )

Obviously Acrobat Reader tolerates the files problems and we will endeavour to do likewise if possible.

cheers

Hi John

Damaged eh, who'd have thought it?

Anyways, PDF-Tools sorted it, now loads OK in in XChange Viewer.
Best regards

Hi Barry,

well thats one way around the problem :)

I have asked the project director to endeavour to allow such file issues to be tolerated if possible - hopefully we can offer that solution too.

cheers :)
