I have to perform OCR on thousands of multi-page PDF files. How can I increase the performance or which hardware is particularly suitable for this? AMD or Intel? Xenon, I7, Ryzen? SSD? Fast RAM?

What are the main factors for maximum OCR speed.
When I put together a new system, what should I pay attention to?

The only hardware that will result in a significant speed improvement is the CPU, as we now offer multi-threading for the OCR process, it will be noticeably faster with a CPU that has additional cores, brand should not matter.

Beyond that, having less than 8GB of ram may, in some rare cases, have an adverse effect on the processing speed, but increasing beyond that will not likely result in any noticeable difference.
