9.1.356.0 Keyboard operability?

Post by chrisjj »

I assume this program, being a productivity and automation tool, is supposed to be operable by keyboard?

I have to say, I'm having a hard time of it.

For example, with a tool selected, SHIFT+F10 brings up the context menu. Fine. But then what key to Edit? Not ALT+e. Nor 'e'. Instead 'e' goes into the search box behind the context menu!

So I click Edit with mouse. Now, what keys operate Save Changes and Close Edit? This time, SHIFT+F10 gets nowhere. Any ideas?

Hello chrisjj,

Once you've shown the context menu - you can navigate through it with the arrow keys.
Or better yet - directly create shortcuts for the specific commands:

Please note that given the nature of the Editor - it is not practical to do ALL with the keyboard alone - e.g. entering a rectangle annotation with the mouse is the only practical way (or you could open the JS console, and add it via JS code ;) ).

Kind regards,
Stefan

Thanks Daniel. Could you pass on my request for Windows-standard accelerator keys? Thanks.

Sure. Sorry to be unclear. I should have said I was thinking only of commands.

Hello chrisjj,

Certainly - I will pass on your post to our interface developers and we will see to support as many of those standard accelerator keys as we can!

Kind regards,
Stefan
