Editing Text & Merging Paragraphs into One Edit Box

Post by troyh41 »

While editing text I run into situations where the text editor separates the text into different "edit" boxes. How can I combine these boxes? For example, I am editing text in one paragraph but the subsequent paragraph is not in the same "edit box" so it does not move down as I add more text. How do I combine those two paragraphs into the same "edit box" so that the text in the 2nd paragraph moves down as I add more text to the first paragraph? Windows 10, PDFX version 8.33.90.

Hello troyh41,

Overall this is not possible due to restrictions set by the PDF specifications.

However, you can try a few things that may help you achieve similar results:

One of the things is to select the two boxes under Edit mode, and then use Blend Mode:

The other thing is by using Align tool:

When they are closer to each other, they can be controlled with a single Edit box.

I hope this helps.

Regards.
