Will it be fillable?

Is there a way that I can make a PDF that can be filled in, saved, and sent back to me without requiring the user to have Acrobat or a similar product?

Hello whtknt,

Our Editor is fully capable of creating fillable forms provided you hold an Editor Plus license, more information can be found here:
https://www.tracker-software.com/knowle ... -PDF-forms

Regarding the user being able to fill in said form. This is a bit more difficult. these days most PC's have a build in PDF viewer, however whether it is capable of form filling is in the air. The most commonly used web browsers now offer their own PDF viewing and filling applications, and while they are a bit limited, they can get the job done in most situations, so it would be possible. However, definably anything that can open and view a PDF is a "similar product" to Acrobat, even our software is covered under such a broad spectrum.

If you simply are looking for a reliable way for users to view a document without needing to pay for anything, our Free Editor can be used for form filling without issues. If you needed a no installation route for your users, I would recommend you suggest they use Microsoft Edge, which is included on all modern Windows PC's.
If your users are running Windows 7 or prior, Edge is not included as a default application, and their internet explorer browser may be out of date and incapable of form filling (if they have an up to date Chrome or Firefox browser they should be fine). Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done in those situations without installing some type of PDF form filling software.

Kind regards,

Thank you for the swift reply. I had a feeling that it was something like that. Okay, thank you.
