How can I put a Submit button on my forms and have the data go to my email? I can place a button and get it to read Submit, but I can't seem to edit the effects of pressing the button.

Hello WhtKnt,

Thank you for the excellent question, Our Form functions include "actions" for some items, such as buttons. These need to be configured in the properties pane (Ctrl+`). This article provides more details on form creation and editing: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowle ... rms#Button

I hope this helps!

I have to design a PDF file (with images and lots of selections like tick mark or options to chose before submitting)

i created my form using Adobe ( fillable form) and have configured the submit button . The submit button automatically sends the email to the email configured inside .

I had an issue when i send this fillable form to friends . The form works perfectly fine when received by any android mobiles and windows computers, but when an iphone receives it they were not able to click submit.
But if this document was opened in adobe on an iphone i was able to submit.

Will i be able to use the form if i create in PDF X on both iphone and android phones ?

Does any have any suggestions if they have faced this problem.

Andrew

Hello andrewdsouza,

Welcome to our forums.
I believe the issue is with iOS devices and the software available on them for working with PDF files not fully supporting these forms.
You can download and give the Editor a try though I suspect the result will be the same - as it's the application at the recipients end that can't handle forms fully.

Kind regards,
Stefan

Hi Andrew,

the form should work n all PDF readers that are compliant. I do not think the issue is that the PDF does not comply with the standards, but as Stefan said the Apple PDF applications may not be doing the right thing.

If you want to you may send us the PDF in question, if it is sensitive send it by email to support@pdf-xchange.com. We can check to see if it is compliant. This will tell if the issue is in the document, or the Apple apps that may not be using it correctly. If, as you say, Adobe on Apple works:
...if this document was opened in adobe on an iphone i was able to submit.
then that is a pretty strong suggestion that the issue is not the file but the applications opening it.
