merging files with the same interleave after each file

Post by winkelmann »

Often I use merging or difiding documents. But after merging i have to insert an interleaves manually. So it would be best to combine file and interleave before merging. So I need a tool. Overlay seems niot to be the right one. Icannot see any changes.

Hello winkelmann,

I am afraid that I still can't quite understand what you are trying to achieve. Can you please provide a sample of input document (e.g. 2-3 pages) + 'interleave' file, and then a sample of the desired final result?

Stefan

after solved account problems:
Why can you not understand? All I want is a file of a few pages and add
a page of my choice (e.g. as attachment). Not a single file but a bunch
of files which I want to merge. So there is an interleave between the
contents in the sample file...…

Hello Goetz,

Thanks for this sample file - do you want to add this as e.g. a watermark on the other files?
Or do you want to insert it between the pages of other files you merge?

E.g. you have file 1 with 3 pages, file 2 with 4 pages, and the sample from your above post.
Do you want as a final result to have e.g. this as the pages of a 'binder' document:
1.1, 1.2, 1.3, sample above page1, sample above page2, 2.1, 2.2 and so on?

If you can send us a sample of your desired final result- that will definitely help us with understanding your requirements.

Stefan

Hello Stefan,
1. No I don't want a watermark but a real page after each source file.
2. I have file1 and file2 as in the attachments
3. Often I have a interleave page which is blue only. But sometimes I need an interleave with the text "TTTT..." because ma database prog can divide again...

Hello Winkelmann,

Thank you for the description. If that is all the needs to be done, than you should be able to make a fairly simply custom tool to handle this. As an example the following would append a page to the input documents, then merge them all together, and save the result.

This Article details the process behind creating a custom tool: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowle ... -PDF-Tools

I hope this helps!

Hello Daniel,
thank you. I wondered to not get any answer and controlled now. To find this answer.
I didn't know about the possibility to combine the steps to an new tool. That is really fine!!
A bit tricky but I succeeded. Many thanks!

BTW: The resolution of the bitmap should have been better. With a VERY strong magnification I could see the text...

Hi Goetz,

Glad to hear that worked!

Regarding the poor bitmap quality, can you send samples?

Cheers,

My apologies! I completely misunderstood. I'll see if anything can be done about the clarity, but it's worth noting that this is really just a large thumbnail preview of the larger image, so it may be that we can't do anything. The solution is to host the image on an external site, e.g. Imgur, then link that. But this is cumbersome and less convenient.

Cheers,
