pdf tools - scanner will not 'ru' until the cannon Printer is switched 'Off' the switched 'On' again

Thanks for the post - Can you please try with MS Paint and see if the issue is the same? This sounds very much like an issue with the drivers. Please be sure to use specifically Paint as it ensure that you're testing with exactly the same scanner drivers.
