TXT TO PDF: Incorrect Space Interpretation

I check the hex coding of my txt files to make sure that spaces and tabs are in the correct spots to be in good alignment in all formats: csv, pdf, and txt. However, PDF-Tools screws up the alignment, despite using a monospaced font, setting all pt the same, and setting the spacing to exact. For comparison, I opened my txt file in Chrome, set it to print, and saved as pdf. Chrome interprets the spaces and tabs exactly, and so the alignment is maintained.

PDF-Tools, v. 7.0, Build 326.1.

Hello abcjme,

I've managed to reproduce the behaviour you report, so I am now checking with our devs to see why this is happening!
We will post again as soon as we have further news.

Regards,
Stefan

Hello abcjme,

Seems like the links in your original post in this topic are now dead. Can you please reupload the files and send us new links? Or zip the files and attach the archive directly to the forums!

Stefan
