embedded fonts

Post by Mr. Nice Guy »

Hi,
dragged a .docx-Document to convert to pdf.
But this pdf has no embedded fonts.
Is there an option for that? Where? Setting this as standard?

Hello Mr. Nice Guy,

I am afraid that there's no way to tell the PDF Tools that you want the fonts embedded when doing such a conversion.
You can e.g. save the file as PDF/A - this will force embedding all used fonts as this is part of the requirements for the PDF/A sub standard.

Stefan

Hi Stefan,

yes, but for this, it takes two steps:
1. convert to pdf
2. convert to pdf/A

Or is there a batch-function for that --> select more than one documents (.docx) and convert them directly to pdf/A?

Best regards

Hello Mr. Nice Guy,

You can clone the "Convert Files to PDFs" tool, and then edit the copy to add any additional commands you want:
