Feature request: combine multiple pages

It would be nice to allow to create pdf files which have 2 or 4 pages on just one page. This can be done using the PDF Printer, but I think it would be a nice task also for the PDF-Tools program.
Another idea - adding (limited) functionality from the command line would allow to to batch jobs.

Can I ask for some clarification here?
You said create pdf files with multiple pages to one page, do you mean take a current file and merge the pages into one, Or have a single page that is "defined" as more than one page? The former could possibly be done, but as far as I am aware there is not way to classify a single sheet as multiple pages solely for display puroposes.
When you print multiple pages to one sheet, the resulting sheet it still classified as one page, regardless of what its origins were.
Please let me know so I can write an appropriate request!

PDF Tools have command line functionality. Here

I believe that Puffolino wanted this function to be available in the command line, not just to have command line options available.

Thanks for all your answers, I meant something like the pdf xchange printer driver or the program fineprint was doing, so if something like that will be available soon, I am extremely happy...
Thanks also for the link to the online manual, I must say that I would prefer to have an offline help file which I consult more often...

All of our online manuals can be downloaded/printed to a physical printer or PDF using the Print button in the top right corner of the web page while viewing them.

Oh, I did see the printer icon but thought, it would only create the viewed page and not the full manual. Thanks to clarify that.
