pictures to pdf --> separate files

Post by Mr. Nice Guy »

Hi,

I have a lot of pictures and want to batch-convert them into single pdf files - not one file.
Don't find this option ...

Instead of "Create PDF from Images", select "Convert Files to PDFs".

:D
If posting files to this forum, you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded.
Thank you.

Isn't the same effect produced by using the "Create PDF from Images (Creates a single PDF document from one or more raster images)" tool with the "Batch Processing Mode"[1] option disabled?

[1]
  • When this option is turned on, each tool action will process every input object (files, scanned images, etc.) before moving on to the following action.
  • When this option is turned off, input objects will be processed by every tool action before the next input object is processed. This may help reduce memory load and disk usage. However, tools intended to merge input objects to PDF(s) may notfunction as expected because each input object is processed independently from others.

Hello Jensen Head,

This is a rather old topic. I believe the current PDF Tools was released after 2018 when the above posts were made, so maybe the Batch processing mode was not yet there.
Also - you are explicitly forcing a tool that would normally merge files to not merge them - which kind of breaks it's intended use :)

Kind regards,
Stefan
