Hi,
I'm facing an error while opening a password protected doc (generated using the PDFToolsv6 secure PDF script):

Here are the steps to try reproducing:
Use Google chrome to browse a web page
Print content using the "save as pdf" chrome option.
The generated PDF well open using PDF Editor.
Drag and drop that pdf onto the secure PDF script (attached for convenience: Saved pwd is "Test" w/o quotes)
When opening now with PDF Editor I got an error!

Any idea ?

Thanks for the post - I'm not familiar with the PDFTEX file type. Can you please provide information on what this file is and how it was created? Also, it's worth noting that I don't see any errors with this file using Version 6 Build 321, so please make sure that you're using the latest release:

The PDFEX was PDF tools v6 export... I guess it could be imported at your side.
the script is the PDF secure provided with PDF tools v6 customized this way:
Protect using Paswword (saved in the script an therefore script will silently protect docs
w/o asking password using a GUI.
Save document in place (same folder & same name w/o confirmation).

The enclosed PDF doc was the one unprotected ... to be protected at your side.
At my side also PDF docs look fine... this is why I provide it because he exhibit an error
after being protected!

Thanks for the explanation and apologies - I've not had much chance to 'play' with the tool exporting as I'd like, I've had far too much to do otherwise so didn't initially recognize the file type

I've tested using your files and have reproduced this here. I've created an internal development ticket to track the issue (RT-3856).

I can certainly try to keep you posted on it, but we're not always informed directly of the fix. I've forwarded this ticket to the dev. team directly and have requested that it be considered critical, so hopefully it will be fixed ASAP.

I've just checked the ticket and it appears that this has been resolved in build 322. Apologies for the lack of notification, but as warned before we're not always told.
