Distorted scans with PDF-Tools 6.0.320.1

After the update to PDF-Tools 6.0.320.1 scanning gives me distorted results.
I have a Canon Lide 220 scanner. Scanning is done using WIA on a windows x64 machine.
Strangely, the scanning results from PDF-XChange 6.0.320.1 are still fine.

I have the same problem. I rely on PDF Tools to scan documents every day in my work.
I wasted precious time in a meeting with a client trying repeatedly to scan a document she had brought.
Later I remembered I still had PDF Tools 4 on my computer, which works—thank God! I depend on your software to scan documents in my work every day.
I, too, use WIA, and my computer runs Windows 7 x64.
Hope you fix this soon. Am so sorry I ran the updater today!

Hi James,
If you have a license for PDF-Tools, this will also work in the Editor. Please try using the Editor to scan as a workaround until this is fixed.
Thanks,

Hi Will,
Thanks so much! I never knew it was possible to scan from within Editor (New Document | From Scanner...). It works!
In addition, I learned that it is possible to merge PDF files (New Document | Combine Files into a Single PDF...).
Scanning to PDF and merging PDF files are practically all I do with PDF Tools, so now I can do everything I need to do with your software in Editor. That should save some time over the long run.
