Create PDF from Images
In the new PDF Tools V6 the output PDF using image files source (.BMP) results in a PDF file which has the images almost 25% of the original image file size. Can't find on settings the way to change it. Any clue, please? Is there a bug or I'm misusing the option "Create PDF from images"
As I read on other topics looks like the new PDF Tools V6 has a lot of bugs.
Back to PDF Tools V4, which was working with no issues.
Sorry

Re: Create PDF from Images
Hello,
We do not know the width and the height of your bmp images and how many of them can be put on one single page.
In the "Create PDF from Images" panel at the right side of the PDF Tools V6 window, you have a small box also called "Create PDF from Images" where you can alter additional settings via the icon or via the link to "All Options...".
In the "Images to PDF Options" window, at "Images Layout Options", you can set how many columns and how many rows you like to show per page, and what you like to do with your images in case if they would need to be re-sized:
do nothing, enlarge or reduce.
Maybe you are well aware about this.
Even though, with a small test, myself I was not immediately able to reproduce the problem. I have converted one large page-filling image to - one column by one row - into a new PDF. There was no reduction of the image.
Maybe you only have the problem in particular conditions/circumstances?
Best regards.

Re: Create PDF from Images
Hi Willy, thanks for your replay.
- The original BMP files are W:794 x H:1123 pixels, 300 DPI.
- Settings are 1 column x 1 row
- Output PDF file is A4 size.
- No Downsampling. No conversion
- Compression set to JPEG2000/99
Those are the same setting as I used on PDF Tool V4. Pdf output was OK.
The percentage of the image converted to PDF using PDF tools V6 is 31% compared with the same image produced with PDF Tools V4.
Hope this information help.
Thanks.

Hi Willy,
I've got the problem's cause:
On "Image To PDF Options" >> Categories>> Images Layot Options
- Align Images: Should be "Fit to Cell". Prior settings was "Off"
Thanks for your help.

Re: Create PDF from Images
Hello Fernando,
I'am glad to read that your problem has been resolved.
So, the answer was indeed located in the settings that I had mentioned:
In the "Images to PDF Options" window, at "Images Layout Options", you can set how many columns and how many rows you like to show per page, and what you like to do with your images in case if they would need to be re-sized:
do nothing, enlarge or reduce.
Maybe I should have used the terminology of Tracker Software: Off, Fit to Cell, Reduce to Cell.
Best regards.
