PDF Merger hangs on big load of PDF Files

Hello,

I´ve tried to merge 7.100 PDF files with the PDF Tools 6. At 45% the app hangs and nothing goes further on.
With PDF Tools 4, I merged this bulk within seconds!
What could be the problem?

Thanks for the post - I've reproduced the same thing here, using ~10,000 files. I've created a ticket and pass this to the Dev. Team: the ticket number is RT-3513.

Hallo Will,

do you have any news regarding the Ticket RT-3513?
merging several thousands of pdf file still paralyze pdf tools. In the tools 2012 this needs a few seconds
What ist so different in PDF Tools 6?

Please let me know asap whats the current status of this ticket cause I need the merge tool very often.
