Hello
I recently purchased the pdf-xchange pro version with a 2-year update.
But I installed it on an XP platform and now I realize that the latest update can only be done from Windows 7.
Can I install the version with the codes I got when I bought it on another computer with Windows 7 to take advantage of updates?
Thank you for your answer and best regards.

Hello OCADEX,

Indeed you can,
If the new license has not yet been entered on the old Windows XP machine, than you can simply install the software on the new windows 7 Machine and enter your license key without issue.
If you have input the license key on the old machine, you will want to remove it before moving to the new PC. The simplest way to do this if the Editor is not installed is to delete our registry keys.
To do this:
1. open the start menu and type regedit.exe
2. In the regedit window, navigate to the following key (you can paste the below text into the search bar)

Code: Select all

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Tracker Software
3. Delete the folder named "Vault" (be very careful and ensure that you are deleting the correct folder, as deleting the wrong key could damage your PC)

Kind regards,

Hello
Thank you for your answer.
So if I understood the google translation correctly, just install pdf xchange pro on my new computer with windows7, enter the license key I received with my pc with xp and it works.
Then I delete the keys you mentioned in the Windows XP registry,... and everything is ok?
Thank you for this last clarification, because I won't want to break everything and no longer be able to use pdf xchange pro.
Best regards and hello from France.
