PDF-X-Change Pro v6 install

I tried carrying over my installer flags from V5.5, but again it seems the MSI has changed some ADDLOCAL flags, and I don't see docs online yet for v6. I am trying to use
F_Drivers,F_Office2PDF,F_Help_Drv,F_Wizard,F_Help_Wiz,F_Viewer,F_ShellExt,F_Plugins,F_OCRPlugin,F_Plugin_SP,F_FileOpenPlugin,F_ReadOutLoudPlugin,F_KeyInstaller
as flags, but at least F_Help_Drv doesn't seem to exist anymore. What are the feature names for this in MSI installs in v6?

Hello jmp242,

This is the full set of features available in the V6 Pro .msi installation package - attached.

Can we get your actual install string (without the serial number!) to look at?

Regards,
Stefan

Thank you, that's exactly what I needed and now the install works. However, I'm attempting to uninstall the last version of v5.5 I had installed, 5.5.313.1. I'm using:
MsiExec.exe /qn /norestart /x "{495BC522-7474-4207-B5BE-19ACE076771A}"
which seems to mostly work. However, it does not uninstall the "extra stuff", specifically PDF-XChange Tools 4.0, PDFXChange 2012 Office2PDF and the printer PDF-XChange Printer 2012.

What are the uninstall strings should I use to clean out all of v5?

After looking at the install MSI with InstEdit and the like, I have the "correct" GUID, so I think I must need to tell MSIexec something more to remove everything from v5.

Ok, to close the loop on this - it was a false alarm. Some of the v5 links / features did not go away until a reboot or log out and back in, but once that happened, only v6 was there using the GUID as shown in my original posting.

Hello,

Can you please publish an update of MSI Installation Switches for XChange Pro 6?

Features F_Wizard and F_Langs_Wiz have been replaced by F_Tools and F_TLangs. What about property PDEFLANGID? Is that still valid? Or has that been replaced by some other name?

What will happen if you do not specify the default language for the editor, driver or tools. Will then the OS language be applied as default language?

Regards,
Ralf

Hi Ralf,

Glad you found them in Orca, and I will tell the guys responsible for the web content to update them on the relevant pages as well.
As for what will happen if no language is specified - if a translation is available matching the systme locale - that one will be used. If not - it will default to English (e.g. if your system locale is set to Tuvalu, as we don't have the Tuvaluan language, it will default to English).

Regards,
Stefan
