move to bookmark

Post by jusWest »

Hello!

We have a scenario, where we have very large pdf files, and a great deal of bookmarks in them.

As the user scrolls down i the document, reading, searching or wathever, the Active bookmark (blue) dos not follow, only the yellow box does. This is how it works, I know, but it makes our user feel lost ine the bookmarks tree.

We want to give the user an abillity, when they are deep down in the document, to click a button that brings the bookmark for the active page into view in the bookmarks pane.

I hope I explained that well enough.

Is there a way to do this with existing functionality?

Regards
Ronny

Hello Ronny,

There already is such a button:
bookmark_visible.png
Or do you want to enable this through code?

Regards,
Stefan

Yes I want to enable this by code. I know there is a command "cmd.bookmarksView.ensureVisibility", but the blue highlighting does not follow, the yellow box does though. Any way to get the blue selected indicator to follow also?
