A Search question

Hello!

In our product we need to search each page in the document for a document id. This id is located in the footer of the pages.

The information I need to return is the id itself and the page number it is on. This should be able to be stored in a list.

I have read about op.serach and IPXC_PageText, but I'm not sure which is best suited for the task

What would be the best way to achieve this?

Hello Ronny,

I think using the IPXC_PageText would be optimal in this case. If you know the location of the text that you require, you can use the https://sdkhelp.tracker-software.com/vi ... t_LineInfo to get the text lines starting from the bottom. The https://sdkhelp.tracker-software.com/vi ... xtLineInfo structure contains the first char index and line character count that you can use with the https://sdkhelp.tracker-software.com/vi ... eText_Char property to get each character in the line and form a string from them. Then you can analyze your string for the text you need and you should get your desired result.

Cheers,
Alex
