Change pane name

Post by EricAriens »

Hi,

Is it possible to change the name of a pane?
If so, how do I do that?

I added a image to show what name I want to change (2 places).

Regards
Eric

Hi Eric,

No way other than altering the localization/translation file.
Why do you want to change that? Is the translation wrong?

Stefan

Hi,

No the translation is fine but we see it as an annotation list and want it named that way.

I will see what I can do with the localization/translation file
I can only changed names on localized instances with those file. Is that correct?

Eric

Hi Eric,

Indeed the "comments" in a PDF file are annotation objects, but this might be less obvious to users than "comments", and also comments is the default term used in pretty much all PDF viewing products, so that's why we are using that wording and not something else.

And yes you are correct - only the localized version will update, and the original names in English will remain what they are.

Stefan

Hi,

I did found not exactly a wrong translation but as native dutch I say not correct.
In the menu document option 'Extract' is translated with 'Uithalen'.
I think a better translation would be 'Extract' :D
Yep the same in English as in Dutch.
The same for the dialog header for the Extract pages dialog.

Eric

Hello Eric,

Hmm, if that's the case then the translation should be updated. If you could name the needed commands and provide the correct translation then we could update that for the next release. Thanks.
