Hi,
In a previous version it was possible to show a preview windows (see attachment).
Is that still possible?
If yes how can I activate it?
Regards
Eric

Re: open with preview
Hello Eric,
You have posted in the Editor SDK section - but are you using the SDK component or the end user version?
If you have installed the shell extensions - the preview should appear as in the attached image.
Regards,
Stefan

Hi,
I am using the SDK component. The image is from the old version.
I think I have to decompile your end user installer and use the shell extension in our own application
Regards
Eric

Hello Eric,
This was mentioned few posts ago - some of the Shell Extensions probably will be included in the SDK in the future if all goes well

Re: open with preview
Hi,
I know. It was an answer to a question I posted.
Any ideas on time?
1 month, 3 months 6 months, perhaps some day but we do not know if it will be this century
I will not pin you down on it (is this correct English? I mean if you say 3 months and it will be 6 I will not hold you accountable)
Regards
Eric

Re: open with preview
Hi,
I have the end user version installed on my computer. I have preview in outlook so the preview works.
I do not have the preview windows when using the method OpenDocWithDlg.
Not in my application but also not in the full demo.
Am I using the the wrong method?
If so what method do I have to use?
Regards
Eric

Hello Eric,
It's not our feature it's Window's or Outlook's. What I mean is this:
You can simply just show the preview pane by clicking the highlighted button.
Cheers,
Alex

Hi,
I do not mean the preview in Explorer or Outlook. In the image I attached in the first post in this thread you see a preview window when using the open dialog of the control.
Is that still possible with the current release?
Regards

Re: open with preview
Hello Eric,
The problem is that the PDF-XChange Viewer only supported PDF format in the open dialog. Thus the custom preview was made because it was possible. The Editor can open multiple file formats, thus we can't possibly make preview of them all so we don't use this feature now.
Cheers,
Alex
