Network Installation > Preferences > Language > User Interface Language

Post by it@jettingen-scheppach.de »

Hello,

after network installation (1 user license) on virtual Windows Server 2019,
starting PDF-XChange Editor Plus (V9.0 build 354.0) from Windows 10 Client
I wanted to change user interface language to german but only language
<English (US), Built-In> is listed.
If I start PDF-XChange Editor Plus directly on the server I can see a list of all
preferred interface languages and it is possible to change it.
Is this a license problem?

Best Regards,
Tim

Hi Tim,

thanks for the post.

With a single user license you are restricted to of course one user connection but this behaviour is not typical of a licensing issue.

Can you offer any additional detail on your set up? On the server, is this a Terminal Server where you are logging into a full desktop session on the server, or are you virtualizing the application and streaming only that to the Win 10 client as in RemoteApp?
Best regards

Hi Paul,

sorry for the delay.

I installed PDF XChange Pro on virtual (Hyper-V) Windows Server 2019.

On Windows 10 Client I added a link "P:\PDF-XChangePro\PDF Editor\PDFXEdit.exe"

I also copied language files "deu.dat" and "deu.lng" to folder "...PDF-XChangePro\PDF Editor\Common\Tesseract\".

If I connect to server with RDP and start PDFXChange Pro then german language is active.

Best Regards,
Tim

Hi,

Can you please connect to us via our support@pdf-xchange.com email address and provide your license info ...

if you are installing the Tesseract Language pack and have a current/valid license this is the wrong language pack and you will not be using the Advanced OCR language files - but the more limited free version and we need to ascertain why this and help you to install the correct files - but need your current license info to do this - which should not be published here,

So please do not post any license here - but email us and we will endeavour to assist you further.

Thanks.
If posting files to this forum - you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded - thank you.

Best regards
