If I OCR a scanned document, the new document has an OCRred layer with the original image as an overlay.
So if I export this file for example to word, I cannot work with this document, because also in word I have the scanned text (unvisible in the background) wth the original document as an overlay.
Is there the possibility, to really ocr a document to work / correct / change things?
OCR does not really give an OCRred file

Hi Gregor,
Thanks for the post - Please see this KB article:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowle ... -performed
This will remove the underlying image layer entirely. As always, I would recommend that you don't do this on the original but instead use a copy.
Thanks,

Re: OCR does not really give an OCRred file
Thank you, that makes everything clear.
But it was not obvious for me, that the purpose of OCRring in pdf xchange was only searching and highlightind and so on.
I assumed, it was completeyly editing after performing ocr.
Perhaps it could be something to be made more clearly on the web page....
Thanks for your help!

Hello Gregor,
We are actually working on some new functions at this exact moment that will allow our OCR to work in the way you desire. We do not have a set timeline for it, but it is coming!
Kind regards,
