See The Zoom Level as a Number & Slider
Hi,
Back when I was just starting to use PDF-X there was a toolbar what that had a wee slider AND a number. Am I right about that? At the foot of the pages. So you could see what Zoom value you were at.
What is the name of that tool, and can I place it into any toolbar that I like via the customize toolbar feature?
I FOUND a wee slider, but it shows no numeric value.
How can I get that slider back that has both the slide AND the numeric value displayed?
Sincerely,
SCH

Re: See The Zoom Level as a Number & Slider
Open whatever document in PDF-XChange Editor.
Then, right-mouse-click in whatever toolbar and turn ON the "Page Zoom"-toolbar.

If you like to copy the two commands in that toolbar to another toolbar, then first activate "Customize Toolbars", select the Zoom-number and next, while pressing the CTRL-key on your keyboard, drag-and-drop it to the desired toolbar. Same thing with the Zoom-slider.

Thanks, Willy.
Indeed this is the correct approach to achieve this.

GREETINGS Good Brother Willy & Dr. D!,
Was able to re-check the Zoom toolbar but...of course I had dragged out the tool a while ago and...it was not there!
Tried to SEARCH for it and, curiously...couldn't find it: What do you think is happening?
Sincerely,
SCH

Re: See The Zoom Level as a Number & Slider
The two missing tools/commands are the following:
- the zoom-number = Set a custom zoom level for the document - cmd.zoom.combo (I can not immediately find this in the list)
- the zoom-slider = Zoom Slider - cmd.zoomSlider
The simplest thing you can do is reset the "Page Zoom"-toolbar.
Make sure that at least one document is opened.
Then in whatever toolbar, right-mouse-click and Customize Toolbars...
In the Toolbars-tab, look for the Page Zoom toolbar, click on it, and click Reset and Close.

Re: See The Zoom Level as a Number & Slider
Hello, Willy Van Nuffel
You are correct, the Zoom value text field does not seem to exist in the commands list. If you need to place a duplicate copy of it somewhere other than the default location, you can Ctrl+Drag it to copy for now. I will pass this along to the Dev team so that we can hopefully see it added in a future release.
Kind regards,

Re: See The Zoom Level as a Number & Slider
GREETINGS All! : ))))
Ah! My results were a bit bizarre? I was able to reset the toolbar, and then to drag it around a bit...but gave up as had some things to get done and it seemed like it wanted to be its own toolbar. I thought maybe I could JUST drag out the number element.
Then, once I got back to it...It wouldn't even seem to allow itself to be dragged? The 4-way icon wouldn't even appear.
What do you think is happening?
Sincerely,
SCH

Hi,
I think that you are dragging the toolbar itself and not the elements that are in it, like the zoom-level, zoom-out, zoom-slider, zoom-in.
> >
While in "Customize Toolbars..."-modus, you must first select the desired element individually (indicated here above in light-blue rectangles) and then CTRL + drag-and-drop it to the desired location in an other toolbar.
Does that work for you ?
Kind regards.
