How do I create a text box that will obscure what's behind it?
I'm trying to create a text box that is opaque but I can only make one that is transparent. I looked through the settings but I didn't find anything helpful. I want to cover up what is behind it. How do I do this?

Hello Lighthouse_Foundation,
If you are using the typewriter object - by default it would indeed have a transparent background.
Please use the TextBox tool - and it's default is a red border and white background behind the text. You can change these from the properties pane on the right hand side when the whole text box object is selected (so after you've exited the text input mode): Kind regards,
Stefan

Thank you so much. That's exactly what I needed to know.

Great.
Just be aware that the content you have hidden is not gone. It can be recovered. If your intention is to truly hide that content you should probably use the "Redaction Tool".
The redaction tool can also have a custom border and fill colour and rather than just covering up the content it actually removes it from the document and cannot be recovered.
Just in case that is needed.
