Why is the tab order not updated in the Drop-Down after shuffling tabs?

Hello dwg11,

That drop down menu will always show alphabetically ordered list of the file names.

So if you e.g. have ZZZ.pdf, BBB.pdf and AAA.pdf opened in that order - the drop down will show them aaa, bbb, zzz.

OK thanks for clarifying.
Is there any way to turn this Off?

Ideally, I was actually looking for a File Manager, with all open tabs like in a browser for example.
The PDF-XChange Viewer is actually not bad.
Is this possible in the Editor?

This is for thumbnails for each tab (or file), not for pages.

Hello dwg11,

We already have a feature request (RT#5801) for the functionality that was present in the Viewer to be reintroduced to the Editor, and I will see if I can nudge the priority of that request up a bit!

Like usual, we cannot provide a timeline for implementations, unless the Dev team explicitly contacts one of us to say that it is already complete and will be included in the next build, the best that I can offer is that it may be coming "in an future build".

At the moment I am afraid that I do not have anything new to share on the topic. Development has not yet begun, as we have been focused on more critical items of late. It may see consideration by the dev team in due time, but I expect you will be waiting quite a while before we see much action on this.

Hi, again wanted to see if this has been implemented yet.

I had been using the earlier version (PDF-XChange Viewer), with the light blue colour icon, and found it to be better in this aspect .

Sadly, not only has this not been implemented, but since, it seems that it may have been rejected. It is not likely that this feature will be brought to the Editor for the foreseeable future, but perhaps it will be reconsidered again later on...
