How to get a color from a photo?
Is it possible to get a color from a photo pasted into a pdf file?
I would like to choose from the palette of colors that is as close as possible to the one marked with the arrow.

Hello, KoLoLoLo
Our software is not intended as an image editing software, and so does not offer a color picker function like this. I cannot promise that it will be implemented, but we can certainly look into it.
Kind regards,

Click the Edit button, right click on the yellow area and select Edit Image.

@lev
Would you be so good and make a step-by-step video on how to get it, I used your tips but it didn't work.

Hello, KoLoLoLo
A video should not be necessary, but here are a few screenshots.
First choose "Edit > all content": Then select the image and right click, you are given the option to "edit with...>: Then you can use your chosen image editing application to manipulate the images, and save (or export) them back to to PDF document.

Re: How to get a color from a photo?
I must have been misunderstood.
I will try to explain again.
I have a pdf file with a poster with different colors and I need to make some text using the color from the poster, for example, but I don't know what color it is.
How can I get this information?

Re: How to get a color from a photo?
The color information will come from an image editing application you need to open the image in. The color picker looks like a pipette (a snapshot below from Paint is shown as an example). See Daniel's post above on how to open an image in an image editing application.
Re: How to get a color from a photo?
@lev
That was exactly what it was about.
But where can I find such a pipette in PDF X Change Editor?

Re: How to get a color from a photo?
There's no pipette in the Editor. You have to open your image in an image editing application. Daniel's post shows you how to do it.

I guess I'm still not understood.
I have a PDF with a color like below (see red arrow).
I need to write the text in a color, how can I "pick" that color in PDF X Change Editor.

KoLoLo,
I understand you perfectly. You can't pick a color with the Editor, but you can do it with an image editing application. So look at Daniel's post to open an image from within the Editor using an image editing program. This is the post:

Re: How to get a color from a photo?
Hello all,
I also often have the requirement to capture a certain color from a PDF document, or from another source, and then use it in PDF-XChange Editor as a fill color, text color or similar.
For my part, I use a useful screenshot program called FastStone Capture for this purpose. FastStone Capture provides a system-wide color picker that can pick and display the RGB values of any color that is visible on the screen.
These RGB values can then be transferred to the PDF-XChange Editor color picker dialog.
Speaking of which, I would like to refer to an earlier thread where certain possibilities for improving PDF-XChange Editor's current color picker dialog were discussed:
https://forum.pdf-xchange.com/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=34650&hilit=color+picker#p148535
I'd consider an update of PDF-XChange Editor's color dialog, at a suitable opportunity and maybe similar to the above-shown various color picker dialogs known from Microsoft Office, to be very beneficial.
Kind regards
David.P

Re: How to get a color from a photo?
Hello David.P,
Thanks for your input! Indeed a colour picker can come in handy in some situations! As Daniel already mentioned - we will get this discussed and see if our devs would like to consider it for future implementation but for now I can't make any promises.
From our perspective it does not look like the majority of users need this often, so e.g. taking a screenshot of the desired area, (Win Key + Shift + S for a quick capture), then paste in any image software (I use Paint), and you can then check and pick your colour. It takes a few seconds more, I admit, and if you need to do it hundreds of times a day can be inconvenient, but for the time being this or the tool David suggests above are the workarounds I would recommend to @KoLoLoLo.
Kind regards,
Stefan

Thanks to everyone for the tips.
I think that each improvement of the program is only positive, no matter how many people use it.
