[suggestion] Pressing "delete" on the keyboard deletes the selected splits
Currently, in the "Split Pages" window, to remove the selected splits in the list, you need to press the "Remove Split" interface button. In this case, the "delete" button does nothing. I propose to make it an alternative way to remove it, for users who prefer to speed up their work using hotkeys.

Re: [suggestion] Pressing "delete" on the keyboard deletes the selected splits
Hi Jensen,
You can set this hotkey by right-clicking any empty area on the toolbar and selecting Customize Toolbar
1) Then Click the Commands Tab and type Remove Split in the search bar
2) Click the Remove Split Command and then click the Properties button
3) Click your cursor in the Keys field, then press DELETE and click the green check mark beside the the Keys field
4) Clicking the green checkmark button will place the Delete in the Assigned field, then click OK, and then Close
Now you've set the hotkey DELETE to the Remove Split command.
Hope that Helps

Re: [suggestion] Pressing "delete" on the keyboard deletes the selected splits
Chris, thanks a lot for your help! I was unaware of the ability to assign hotkeys to almost any command in the application. I followed your instructions
PDF-XChange Editor Plus 9.2, build 357.0 (Enhanced OCR) (Oct 18 2021; 17:51:53), Microsoft Windows 10.0.19042.1237.
but after selecting "50%" in the second screenshot, I press "Delete" on the keyboard, nothing happens
What could be the problem?PDF-XChange Editor Plus 9.2, build 357.0 (Enhanced OCR) (Oct 18 2021; 17:51:53), Microsoft Windows 10.0.19042.1237.

Re: [suggestion] Pressing "delete" on the keyboard deletes the selected splits
Hello Jensen Head,
Some special keys like Esc, Del, PageUp, PageDn have pre-defined actions linked to them, and those can not be changed. When you try to assign a new action to a single of those keys - it might work if when that key is invoked the other default action is not possible, but in most cases we would advise against using Esc, Del or e.g. Space on their own. Try say Shift + Del - and this combination should work.
Kind regards,
Stefan

Re: [suggestion] Pressing "delete" on the keyboard deletes the selected splits SOLVED
Hi Jensen.
I see there is one misunderstanding... Seems you tried to assign the shortcut to another command that has the same "Remove Split" name but is not the same command you can see in the SplitPages dialog. You may see that such two commands have different icons...
And unfortunately, you cannot customize the shortcuts for commands on dialogs.
Anyway, in the next build we will fix that issue and you will be able to easily delete splits by Del key.
Cheers.

Hello, Jensen Head
Yes, it would be something that is too minor to get its own item in the list, but rest assured that it is there now, and ready for use.
