SecurePrinting with HP does not work

Hello,

we are using several HP-Printers with Universal Drivers (tested with 6.9 and 7.0) with central printing queues on Server2019.

A main feature is, that you can print secure with sending an encrypted printjob to the printer and can print it on the machine later when entering die corrept PIN.

This works for all office applications and the older PDF-Viewer 2.5.322.10 fine, but not with current PDFXChange 9.1.356

PDFXChange does not generate a correct printJob and nothing appears on the printer display.
Our printer distributer examined the generated packets, but they seem to be corruped, so that the printer cannot use them.

Would be nice, when this could be repaired.

Regards
Frank

Hello, Wetropa

To begin, can I ask you to confirm if this resolves the issue, many HP devices require the printing application to use "device units" instead of "logical units" like most other printer brands. We offer a manual override for this option, under "advanced print options > More":

Please try enabling "device units" here, and see if the print que properly understands the files then.

If that does not help, can I ask you to please send us a direct link to the driver download for the device that the Editor is printing to, so that we can try to emulate it and investigate what is being sent on our end.

Kind regards,

Problem was solved.
The Printer-Profile for SecurePrinting had an error.

After removing it and making a new one, everything works now as expected.
