How to turn pages with a shortcut key when two pages are displayed side by side?

Hello all,

When two pages are displayed side by side, if you click the "Previous Page (Ctrl + Left)" icon or "Next Page (Ctrl + Right)" icon in Page Navigation of Document Toolbars, the page will be turned every two pages.

However, if you operate using the shortcut key (Ctrl + Left / Ctrl + Right), the page will be turned page by page, so in order for the page feed to be reflected in the display, you need to press the shortcut key twice.

It seems that the behavior when clicking the icon and the behavior when operating the shortcut key are different. Is there a way to turn pages with a single shortcut key operation when two pages are displayed side by side?

Thank you,
rakunavi

I found that I could use <Space> or <Shift + Space>, <PageDown> or <PageUp> to turn two pages at a time, even when two pages are displayed side by side.

If you are not zoomed in then you can also use up/down cursor keys.

Thank you for your comments!
When I zoomed in, I could see more of the differences between the various shortcut keys.
The shortcut keys <Ctrl + Left> / <Ctrl + Right> do not switch pages after scrolling to the edge of the page.
However, the page navigation icon "<" / ">" on the document toolbar switches pages.
Unlike the explanation of the icon balloon, it seems that the assigned function is different for the shortcut key and the icon.

Thank you,

Hello, rakunavi

When zoomed in, the Ctrl+right/left functions work to navigate the document page as well. If you wish to go to the next page directly, you can instead use Ctrl+up/down. I will report the listed hotkey inconsistency here, but this is, to my knowledge, working as intended at the moment.

Kind regards,

Hello all,

Assuming that the zoom mode is set to "Fit to Page" and the page display mode is set to "Two Page", the <Ctrl+Left> or <Ctrl+Right> shortcut keys work differently when the document view area is active and when other window elements (such as the bookmarks pane) are active.

For example, when the bookmarks pane is active, a single <Ctrl+Left> or <Ctrl+Right> shortcut key change pages every two pages, whereas when the document view area is active, the shortcut key must be pressed twice. Please see the attached verification video. In the first half of the video the bookmarks pane is active and in the second half of the video the document display area is active. In both cases, <Ctrl+Left> shortcut key is pressed to turn the page. The video includes keystroke sounds for clarity.

As mentioned earlier in this topic, there are several shortcut keys assigned to page navigation, but they seem to be divided into two groups: those that change behavior depending on the active window element and those that do not. As far as the <Ctrl+Left> or <Ctrl+Right> shortcut keys are concerned, I think the behavior should be the same regardless of which window element is active. As I said at the beginning of this topic, I think it would be more natural to change every two pages with a single <Ctrl+Left> or <Ctrl+Right> shortcut key, which is also consistent with the behavior when clicking the page navigation icon on the document toolbar.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message.

Best regards,
rakunavi

Hello, rakunavi

You will be happy to hear that the trouble within the document pane is resolved for build 360. Keep an eye out for that update.

Kind regards,
