How do I highlight text that I've written using the Typewriter?

Post by Lighthouse_Foundation »

If I create text using the Typewriter feature I can select it, but when I click the Highlight button the selection disappears.

Please read more info in the following thread which includes a hyperlink to the work-around, i.e. using the Rectangle Tool instead:

Kind regards.

I usually simply flatten comments if I want to apply highlighter (or links) to them.

Thanks for the additional info David, but in that case the typewriter text becomes part of the base content and will always be printed.
If that is not a problem, so good.

Kind regards.

You could also do a Text Box with zero point border and fill set to "Blend Mode" so that text below it shows through:

but I see now that this is essentially the same as the work around with the rectangle tool.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, using the rectangle tool allows me to highlight.

Did you know that you can take the concept of using Blend Mode as Multiply and apply that to other tools, the pencil tool for example, and get free hand highlighting like a real highlighter pen.: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowle ... tly-images
