Fix blurry and foreign fonts in PDF-XChange Editor
Hi All
I have many scientific papers, but some of them when viewing it with PDF-XChange Editor (my favorite app), the scientific names which are italic appear blurry and foreign text which may be annoying to read, see screenshot
I was tried to use adobe acrobat and the above text appear normal and italic
So how to fix this problem with PDF-XChange Editor.
Thanks

Hi,
Can you please extract the page with the text in question and post that (one page) PDF here on the forum ?
I think that Tracker Software Support will need it for further investigation.
It seems like there are also spacing problems in your justified text (missing spaces and spaces that are too large).
Best regards.
Willy

Re: Fix blurry and foreign fonts in PDF-XChange Editor SOLVED
Thanks for posting your Sample.pdf.
When I open this PDF in PDF-XChange Editor, I do not see the problem.
I think about two possibilities:
1) the Times New Roman font is damaged on your PC
Do you see the same problem with Times New Roman 'italic' in other applications ?
EDIT: No, because in Ad*be Acr*bat Pro it looks allright.
2) not using the most recent version of PDF-XChange Editor - should be build 354
If not, download and install from here: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/product/pdf-xchange-editor
When you go into text editing mode (in PDF-XChange Editor), and you change the text property from Italic = True to Italic = False, do see you see any change ?
If not, does it look better, when you change the font from Times New Roman into Arial ?
Best regards.

Your recommendation is right
see the result when viewing sample.pdf with PDF-XChange Viewer So the problem is with my PDF-XChange Editor.
Thanks again.

Re: Fix blurry and foreign fonts in PDF-XChange Editor
Hello, Ben91
Thank you for reaching out. My first question here is, of course, are you running the latest version of the Editor? if you click on help > about, and it does not report that you have version 9.2 build 358.0, please try updating the software first, and try again.
If that still does not help, can I ask you to please send us an email, with a copy of the document in question, and screenshots showing how it appears on your end, so that we can see what else may help?
Our email address is support@pdf-xchange.com
Kind regards,
