Pencil's commenting drag/drop bug?

See the animated attached GIF. When commenting using the pen aka as just writing notes on the side of the PDF, if you're an non-calligraphist, it does happen more often than not (I find more often than previously, though I haven't updated recently -> 9.354.0 on Windows 10 using a Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga) that when words are spelled out and you lift the pen off the screen for a millisecond - as one does, when one handwrites... - the cursor goes into select and up the last bit of whatever is next to it. Makes it impossible to write normally...

Tried it - unfortunately not doing the trick. Don't really undestand why it behaves as it does - because there is a separte command to select comments, right? So there is no need for the pencil do the same thing...

There was a bug with this function in a previous release, Can you please click help > about and confirm if the build number is 9.0.354.0?
If it is not, please try updating the software, and then following Stefan's instructions once again here.
