Highlight Malfunction/Deficiency

I am using version 9.0 build 354.0.

The issue is: When I use PDF-XChange Editor to read some PDFs and highlight certain passages thereof, I encounter three different issues:

1) the application would not be able to highlight the complete sentence;

2) the application would highlight other places;

3) both of the above.

This issue does not occur with Adobe Acrobat, Wondershare PDFelement, WPS PDF, Movavi PDFChef, and other PDF readers.

example: Please use the PDF attached and try to highlight the sentence, 'Archivists in Canada and Australia ... to take some of its conclusions to heart', on page 381. You will then see what the issues are.

Just tried it with the latest build 355 : No problem.

Not tested with build 354.

Hi Chimaera.

Please be sure that such options:

- are turned off. Problem is because in some documents the "Detect tables by text layout" may mistakenly find the non-existent tables (for example: when text has a columns and paragraphs with significant gaps between) - and as result the order of text might be changed incorrectly.
Such options are applicable for documents with real tables only...
