How to lock aspect ratio (width/height) of images when resizing them?

Post by clsven »

Assume I load a *.pdf file into PDFXE and switch to edit mode.

One of the pages contain an image.
I select it and drag the upper right corner (tiny box) and drag it to resize (=shrink) it.

Unfortunately there seems no way to lock the aspect ratio (width/height) of this image.
Even if I concentrate on this operation the width vs height changes at least a bit.

Is there really no "lock aspect ratio" option in PDF-Xchange editor?

Then this preference should be added (for text boxes as well) in the next release

1) Maintain the SHIFT-key while resizing, or
2) Right-mouse-click on the selected image, then click Arrange > Transform... and change the Width or Height.
Here, you can unlock the aspect ratio if you like.

Best regards.

Hi Willy,

You are correct, these are the two ways to keep the aspect ratio of an object when resizing.
