I am getting an error when saving a large PDF as optimized.
The error is: 'A critical error occurred during operation'
If I use Bluebeam... it is successful... though it takes a while.
Any thoughts?

Unfortunately I can't send the PDF - it is proprietary company info.
I am using PDF-XChange Editor Plus 9.0 build 352.
I did notice that there was a lot of images that needed converting (11404). Perhaps it's a memory issue..?

Please try to update to 353 (released yesterday), and then try the optimization once again. Please also open task manager and keep an eye on your memory usage at the time to see if it is indeed related to memory and let us know the result!

I can report that the latest build of PDF-Exchange 9.0 build 353.0 was successful in compressing the PDF.
Below are the results:
ORIGINAL - NHC scope of work1.pdf, 29,184,606 bytes
PDF EXCHANGE OPTIMIZATION - NHC scope of work1_Optimized.pdf, 15,255,951 bytes
BLUEBEAM 2019 OPTIMIZATION - NHC scope of work1 - BB Optimized.pdf, 11,115,058 bytes
PDF Exchange was successful, but did not compress as much as Bluebeam, but that may come down to quality settings.
Below are the results:

Most likely image quality settings are different, and if you manage to match those - the results should get pretty close to one another. If our file remains larger - the image quality is likely better and with less noise than the BlueBeam result!
