Put the "Yes, No, Cancel" in horizonal order for the confirmation window

Post by sibojang9 »

The standard confirmation windows 10 is in the horizontal style as follows:

Why the confirmation window in PDF XChange editor was made the vertical style? It is very inconvenient and can easily cause errors to the end users. Please update this counter-intuitive design.

Hello sibojang9,

Thank you for your suggestion.

In this particular window, you see only these options, but if you, for instance, try to overwrite or append a file, you will see much more options that are difficult to fit in the standard Windows menu.

Regards.

Can you give an example of that? I tried to overwrite a file using PDF-XChange Editor. I saw only standard confirmation window as follows:

The example, when trying to overwrite a file, rather comes from the "PDF-XChange Standard"-printer.

In PDF-XChange Editor there are several other examples of such a dialog-boxes.

Best regards.

Hello Willy Van Nuffel,

Thanks for the input!
Indeed we have other similar dialogues where those buttons need the extra width to fit in more text.
Also - our UI is translatable into multiple languages and while "Yes", "No" and "Cancel" would usually be with comparable lengths in any localization - we can not be 100% sure this is true for all - so leaving more space for translated UI is also necessary.

@sibojang9
So we are not currently looking at changing the positioning of the buttons in the dialogue from the original post.

Kind regards,
Stefan
