How to secure document | make edits/manipulations impossible | make signature permanent

Post by tyd710 »

Hello everyone and sorry for the newbie question:
I am on 'editor plus' licensed in 2019 (ver8) and am trying to find an alternative to 'printing to an image' when trying to secure a signature in a legal document. In other words - before I send a document out, I want to make sure my signature and the doc itself cannot be opened and manipulated in editor plus (or other PDF software), for example by editing out my signature or other parts of the text. The print as image function leaves bad quality PDFs with sometimes bad legibility overall.
Any easy fix or 'save as' trick to use?
Cheers,

Hi, tyd710

The best way to do this is to create and use a digital signature for the signing process itself, this can be setup to secure the document during the signing process itself. See here for details on how to make a signature: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowle ... -signature

The next best alternative is to apply security to the document after signing, which is done by following the steps here:
