When adding an audio file, by attaching an mpr file, PDF-Xchange Editor works fine. I am able to attach the file and to play it. However, when using the "record" option, the dialogue box stops responding and then program crashes. I am curious if anyone else has this issue? I have checked to make sure that the default mic is set. I have also tested the mic with other applications.
Win10 pc
I am using testing the PDF-Exchange Editor version9 build 352
I am hoping this is an easy fix.

Re: Audio Recorder Crashes
Hello Zeach,
I've managed to reproduce this and a colleague in the Dev team is already looking at the issue!
In the mean time - we've created this ticket:
#5513: Editor 352: Trying to record Audio makes the Editor not responding
So that the problem could be correctly tracked through our internal processes while we work on a fix. We will post updates here as soon as the ticket is resolved.
Kind regards,
Stefan

Re: Audio Recorder Crashes
Thank you Stefan. I will check back on it.
I realize it is being worked on, but I did have some questions about how it works.
1) What is the sampling rate? is the sampling rate 16 kHz or higher
2) Are these audio files attached to the pdf, or "inside" the pdf in some way?
3) Is it possible to include the added audio files to the comments summary or to create a summary of the audio added to a pdf in a similar way?

Re: Audio Recorder Crashes
Hello Zeach,
These audio files are attached as Audio annotations.
I am not aware what the sampling rate would be, but I would assume it is whatever your windows set up for your usual sound input device - e.g. for my microphone that is set to "2 Channel, 16 bit, 96 000Hz (Studio Quality)" in Windows.
Kind regards,
Stefan

Re: Audio Recorder Crashes
Thank you. How do I check the status of #5513: Editor 352?
