TOC: instead a line, each word a line

I build Table of Contents in Bookmarks tab.
I choose these words as a bookmark: "KINDNESS IS A BATTLEFIELD".
In the bookmarks tab, I see 3 lines: "KINDNESS" and "IS" and "BATTLEFIELD"
Why?
What should I do?

Try Replace line breaks with spaces under Title Formatting. It's at the bottom of the screen.

Thank you for the sample file, From what I can see here, the issue is not with space detection, but with your font size tolerance. The first letter of each word, instead of being a "capitalized" letter, is simply a few points larger than the others (at exactly 19.4pt) all the rest of the text in the title, and the spaces themselves, are at 15pt, which is far out of the +/-0.2pt tolerance you have specified. This is why the bookmarks are being split, as they only hold onto the word attached to a letter which matches the required formatting, and will stop when it cannot detect the criteria.

To resolve this, Simply ensure that the entire title is encompassed within the tolerance:

or change the font size so that it the same for the entire title:
