Stop copy & past text (text box) from incerting fill color

When I copy & past text in a pdf the text box automatically sets the fill color to blue, which I need to change each time. How do I set the default color to none?

This would depend on how you are pasting, but as you said text box, I will assume the content is being pasted as a "comment".
In this case, follow the steps here to set the "default style" for comments, ensure you are doing so with the "Text box" tool specifically:

Simply change the "fill color", and then "make default", and you are good to go.
