If I want to select a value from a dropdown list, I first have to click into the combo box. If I click directly on the little arrow that opens the list, the list disappears after a second.
This malfunction only occurs with the latest version of Acorbat Reader. The dropdown list of the combo box works without any problems with the Hand Tool of the X-Change editor or in a browser.
Are there any settings in the editor or in the properties of the combo box or in Win10 to correct this?

Re: Select a value from a dropdown list
Hello,
With both example PDF's I have made (see attachments), I was not able to reproduce the problem.
Nor in PDF-XChange Editor v8.0.343.0, nor in Adobe Acrobat Reader 2020.013.20074
Can you post a sample PDF onto this form that shows the problem?
Best regards.

Yes, indeed an example file will help us in investigating the problem you are facing.

Re: Select a value from a dropdown list - SOLVED
The problem was the Acrobat Reader Accessibility Setup Assistant. I accepted the suggestion "Use recommend settings" clicked NEXT and then - BANG! The solution: I removed Reader and cleaned the installation with AdobeAcroCleaner_DC2015.exe. After a new installation the PDF worked fine again. The assistant started because I tried to start a EXE with a push button.

Re: Select a value from a dropdown list
Thanks @smaak to tell us the whole story.
Without that knowledge, it would have been very difficult for someone else to find the cause of the problem.
So, finally, your PDF-forms will work like intended.
