suggestion: insert empty page after (or before) current page

Dear Tracker-Team,
I like the function "insert empty page", because in combination with pen-input I can use the Editor as a note-taking tool (usually on existing content and not only on blank pages). When a page is filled with my annotations, I can simply add an empty one and proceed taking notes.

The corresponding dialogue looks like this:

Unfortunately, the destination-options ("Ziel") do not allow "current page" as an option. Instead, I have to check my current page number and then type it into the corresponding box ("Seite").

Therefore, I would like to suggest adding a destination-option "current page". This option should probably work with the "before/after" selection ("Bereich").

I note that many other features have this option, e.g. the features "delete pages", "extract pages", OCR etc.

It has been promised by the Tracker Dev Team to add the "current page" option in different dialog boxes, but until now it is not yet available (current release: PDF-XChange Editor v8.0.343.0).

Let's hope for some news about this from the Tracker Software Support team.

Thanks for bringing attention to that topic Willy, I have just checked with the dev team. When this was originally confirmed, we expected build 339 to be the initial V9 release, which has evidently changed. I have just confirmed that it is ready now and will be in the V9 release, here is a sample of what the new page range selection options will look like in most dialogs for V9:

Now I should note, the other post Willy linked to specifically mentioned the "replace" dialog as well. That one will not be seeing this change immediately, but we are considering making changes there later on as well.

This is very good news. I also like the layout of that dialog which will minimize the clicks needed.

Glad to hear we could please, and Arnold, yes, we still intend to support Windows 7 for as long as possible, much like we supported WinXP for a long time after its end of life. V9 should be no exception to this.
