Extract Hyperlinks From PDF Files (Feature Request?)

Good day all,

Is there a way for PDF-XChange Editor to extract hyperlinks from PDF files?

If so, I'd like to learn how it can be done.

If not...
Feature Request - I wish there was an "extract links" from (selection, page, document) capability within the product.

Related... Extract emails from (selection, page, document) capability.

Hello jvroom,

There are multiple types of objects inside a PDF file that can be links, but also those links might be to other pages in the same document, other PDF files, or eventually links to web pages.
Also - there might not be a link as such on a page but 'plain text' that we can then recognize as an URL and offer you to be able to click on that, when there isn't really a link there.

I will check with our devs on the feasibility of such a feature request, but maybe in the mean time you can try to:
1) OCR your file if needed.
2) Export the text to a text editing software (so that only text is left).
3) Use some tool that can go over that extracted text and recognize the links for you.

#5360: Export links to an external file (CSV, fdf, xfdf), and import from external file (fdf, xfdf).
