Text color in bookmarks

Hope to have a dark mode for PDF Exchange some day but until then, I can adjust colors in settings to darken them and reduce eye strain. Only problem is that the text in the bookmarks pane does not appear to obey the text color in settings. See attached. I have my text color set to white but the text in the bookmarks pane is black. This limits my ability to darken the background color.

If you are running the latest version (8.0.341.0) the text in the Bookmarks pane will alter itself automatically to remain visible dependent on the "window" color, as you can see here:

With that said I will pass this along to our Dev team and see what can be done, as the other panes to respect the "text" color chosen.

Hi Daniel!

This doesn't help at all. It's very difficult to distinguish name of bookmark due to very low contrast between black background and dark grey text ... (see your third example)

The dev team have gotten back to me on this, there is a reason that bookmarks currently do not adhere to the application text setting. That is, bookmarks can have their own font color, we only make minor adjustments to that color of the bookmark text IF it is very close to the current background color, so that it can remain at least partially visible.

They have assured me that they will be putting some systems in place to avoid this issue in the near future, though I am unsure how exactly it will work at the moment.

I too am having this problem. Thanks to Ovg for linking me here.

I have a dark colour scheme and no matter what I set Window colour to, bookmarks remain black not light grey as shown.
I like to set it to RGB= 30,30,30, but can't as the bookmarks are virtually illegible like this.

Also, I'm curious, how is it your settings window is themed dark too? Mine has some dark mainly Title bar and Left pane, the rest is untouched by theming. Is this a Pro only feature?

We try to avoid removing topics, as they can be additional sources of information for anyone to find down the road. I do see in the other topic, you discovered you were using the Viewer, instead of the Editor, Is it safe to assume you have resolved the issue now, by changing the bookmark text color from the properties pane?
