Hi,
I am currently working on a form in which users can enter their personal data (see ). These entries are to be dynamically combined in a QR code.
If the entry is made using the XChance editor, the QR code will be updated as desired (see ).
However, it can be assumed that other PDF readers than XChange Editor will be used by the users. Therefore I have filled out the form as a test with Adobe Acrobat Reader and Google PDF Viewer. However, it turned out that when entering the data, the QR code at Adobe is converted into a grey box (see ) and at Google the QR code does not change dynamically.
Do you have a suggested solution to solve these problems?
When reading the QR Code, the information entered should be showed with paragraphs (in the same way as in the form ) instead of a single line. How can this be realised?
Many thanks in advance for the help.

Hello georgy,
Thanks for your post. I have asked a colleague from the dev team to take a look, but if you can give us a sample file that would certainly help!
Kind regards,
Stefan

Does your barcode field have a size that expressed in round number of inches? Like 2 inches by 2 inches, for example.
If that's true, please try to resize that barcode field a bit to have these numbers not round and check if that helps.

QR-code size was selected according to the possible options (each of them decimal numbers) Best regards,

Re: Form with dynamic QR code
What is interesting, your document works just fine in Adobe Acrobat, but in Adobe Acrobat Reader is shows a gray rectangle instead of the barcode.
But most interesting thing is that the behavior of the Reader is 100% the same with a barcode field created by Adobe Acrobat.
And comparing two fields definitions (one created by the Editor, another one - by Acrobat) in PDF, I see no difference.

Hello INEOS_Köln,
You posted in a topic that is over a year old.
And the problem seems to be with Adobe's Reader, not with the way we are creating the files. As per Ivan's post above - a file created by Adobe's own Acrobat show the same way in their Reader. So please try to update all of the related software products on your machine and see if the latest version of their reader handles these files properly.
Kind regards,
Stefan
