How do I keep Home Tab open?

The customizable Home Tab was open and visible for me yesterday, whenever I opened a file. Now today, it's hidden. Any idea why . . . or, how to make the Home Tab always be visible?

In case the tabs are hidden: press function key F8 to switch them on/off.

In case the tabs are visible but their ribbons are hidden: click the arrow at the right in the tabs-row to show them.

Yes, that is what I want, namely, to make the ribbon open and visible. But, I find that, after selecting something in the document, the ribbon disappears. Is there no way to make the ribbon permanently visible?

The only solution, I can come up with is to revert to the "Classic" UI.

Additional information:

In the Ribbon UI, once you have clicked the arrow to expand/show the ribbon, you will see appearing a pin at the place where you clicked the arrow. Click onto this pin to keep the ribbon open.
