Delete current page SOLVED

We were using an older version of PDF-XChange and just upgraded to the newest version of PDF-XChange Editor plus.

In the old version's list of available commands was "Delete selected page". I put a button on my taskbar and used this approximately 453,201 times each date.

However, in this new version, that command is not listed, even under All Commands. So now I have to click Delete Page, click Current page in the window that pops up, then click OK.

This program is almost unusable to me without the Delete Current Page command as I manipulate PDF files all day long.

Help?

Yes, this option is not longer present.



However, the delete pages command is set on current page by default:

So all you have to do is to click OK on the confirmation window:

...or you can use the Thumbnails pane to directly delete the pages, which is the fastest way:

I can't imagine what the programmers were thinking by REMOVING features from a program. I realize it sound silly that I'm annoyed at having to click twice now instead of once, but I literally delete dozens of pages per day from various documents.

The delete page option may be set as "Current Page" by default, but if I've just used it to delete certain pages, it does not default back to Current Page... so then I'm clicking three times.

Plus with the addition of the incredibly awful "Ribbon" format, sometimes I'm not even on the right tab, so that's *more* clicking.

I'm incredibly sorry we ever purchased this "upgrade", and will now be searching for a replacement.

As Stefan mentioned, you can speed up the process by using the thumbnail pane and clicking the Delete button present there or (even use the Delete key on your keyboard for faster deletion) completely skipping this process.

We do also still offer the Classic UI, which can be toggled on and off using the "UI options" menu in the upper right corner of the software:

I do truly appreciate the suggestions, but having to open the thumbnail pane each time and figure out which pages we want to delete does not -- any way -- compare to scrolling through the pages of my document and simply clicking an X on the toolbar when I reach a page I want to delete. The thumbnail pane also takes up precious screen space, we simply cannot keep it open.

You can add button with this action via js script:

Close editor (if open)

Put script file into C:\Users\Your_User_Name\AppData\Roaming\Tracker Software\PDFXEditor\3.0\JavaScripts folder (create one if not exist)

Open Editor and look for button under Add-on Tools
